Chinese Students’ Beliefs about English Language and Their L2 Motivation

Introduction. This study adopts a Global Englishes perspective to examine dimensions within beliefs about English language held by Mainland Chinese university students. It also assesses whether and how these impact the students’ motivation learn (L2 motivation). Materials Methods. A questionnaire survey was conducted among 460 students learning as Foreign Language at large public in China. The contained 28 items assess their L2 motivation.
